Relay for Life Westshore

Relay for life is the internationally recognized signature event for the American Cancer Society. Every year there are events globally in 27 countries, bringing communities together to remember loved ones lost, honor survivors of all cancers and raise money to support the American Cancer Society’s global initiatives to fight cancer. Relay is a team fundraising event where team members take turns walking around a track or designated path for 6 to 24 hours. Each team is asked to have at least one team member walking at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps.

This year, the BioSpine Foundation was a presenting sponsor for the Relay for Life Westshore event. The foundation helped raise $7,727, a second-place haul among 20 participating teams. A fish fry, bake sale and raffle were a few fundraisers hosted by the foundation leading up to the event. All the teams raised a combined $47,790.
